A large reclaimed armorial.
A beautiful cast metal coat of arms, crisply cast, of very good scale & in the original weathered painted finish. Totally original & packing a good bit of weight, would have come from an important building, probably a town hall or court house. The Latin inscription of 'Cor Unum' to the lower banner translates to 'One Heart'. Nice thing!
Mid 20th century.
Wear commensurate with age, totally untouched original numbered bronze brackets to the rear though may need new fixings if it is to be wall mounted (it weighs in the region of 20kg).
