An antique opaline glass Chiropodist's advertising pendant light.
A rare survivor featuring some fantastic workmanship, the opaline glass cube shade adorned with it's crisp, black advertising & topped with a brass 'beehive' gallery & hanging hook. Emitting a soft glow once lit creating a superb decorative piece, the like of which are becoming increasingly difficult to come by.
Advertising pendants / trade signs such as this were once relatively common in 1920's & 30's in England & were usually hung above the doorway of doctors medical professionals practices.

Wear commensurate with age, the usual wear & tear, good overall condition with nibbling to the rim of the shade which is hidden under the gallery once in place. The shade has lettering to two of the four panels & although a perfect fit with excellent colour, the brass gallery is likely later than the shade.

Rewired to UK spec in a length of twisted flex suitable for indoor use. If this is to be used outside the UK, it may need adapting to suit which will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.
