A beautiful, small painted side table of Eastern European origins.
A super & highly original example, on unusual splayed feet with a cross stretcher to the base supporting turned legs & a hexagonal top. The all original black, gilt & red paintwork has mellowed over the years & developed a distinct 'craquelure' patina & has the perfect amount of wear & tear.
A highly decortive & very unusual piece of furniture.
Early 20th century, likely Romaian or Hungarian
Wear commensurate with age, totally unrestored yet solid & ready to use.
