A wonderful antique carved 'Nupe' or 'Spider' stool.
A genuine early example of traditional African craftsmanship, caved from a single lump of African harwood, the stool is raised on seven tapering legs. The top is beautifully docorated with traditional Nupe geometric carvings & has the most beautiful depth of colour with a wonderful patina.

Wear commensurate with age, good overall. An antique rtahre than a cheap tourist piece, both the top & one of the legs show signs of old repairs to cracks which do notghing to detract.
