An antique toleware shops tea canister in the original painted finish.
A wonderful, honest example with it's original removable lid, decorated with a shadowed signwritten number thirteen to the front panel. Manufactured by G Sutcliffe of Manchester, maker of some of the finest hand painted toleware of the period.
Late 19th Century.
Wear commesurate with age as pictured, untouched condition, displays beautifully, quite rare to find these in this order now with so many having been touched-up, repainted & drilled to make lamp bases.
