A large 19th century country house hall bench
A beautiful & highly unusual country house Chesterfield bench in all original studded oilcloth upholstery with phenomenal colour & patina. The five drawer oak base with all original gilt brass handles supports a horsehair filled seat cushion & the optional backrest is fixed to the wall behind it. A handsome, timeless & unique statement piece.

Wear commensurate with age, good solid condition overall, cosmetically unrestored. As mentioned above, the optional back rest is not attached to the base & has two brass mounts for wall hanging.
