A wonderful & exceptionally rare oil on canvas funery hatchment.
A beautiful piece, the oil on canvas in it's original ebonised pine frame depicting the family crest of the Kinghtley family. The Latin inscription translated to 'In Port We Rest' & the piece reputedly once hung in Fawsley Hall, Northants. A special item.

Wear commensurate with age, the canvas has taken a knocks over the years, no restoration.
