A rare pair of antique military campaign benches.
A fantastic pair of World War One era campaign benches of simple construction with heavy cast iron bases & single plank tops. Ingeniously designed to be portable, easily assembled and robust, the benches employ just three large nuts & bolts, have a wonderful look about them & a great patina to both the metalwork & wood. Sculptural, functional & a real rarity.

Wear commensurate with age, good solid untouched condition. The benches are near identical with minor cosmetic differences & colours to the tops. The long bolts which go through the top at either end are all missing their nuts (does not detract, see last image) though remain securely in place & we have not tried to disassemble the benches. They could of course undergo a full restoration but personally I like them just as they are.
