An original Hadrill Horstmann counterbalance wall lamp.
A truly exceptional example of this industrial design classic featuring a heavy cast iron counterbalance & wll bracket, all original paintwork and tulip shade. The lamp is a very early production with the 'crinkle' paint finish, ring addition to the rear of the shade & 'Pats Pending' stamp to the lower arm setting it apart from on later models.
The best & most original example of this lamp I've seen.
Rewired twisted black flex.
Early 1950's
Wear commensurate with age, cosmetically unrestored with the rewire the only later addition. Exceptional overall with the usual expected minor marking & wear to the paintwork & some notable discolouration to the inner shade.
Measurement is a flat out measurement with the lamp at full stretch.
