Illuminated Jewellers Cabinet

A wonderful rare illuminated Jewellers or outfitters display cabinet for Sophos Studs & Links.
A very unusual early advertising cabinet in solid oak with a fitted black velvet interior & illuminated glass sign in the pediment. The cabinet would have contained a selection of cuff-links & collar-studs which were illuminated from above with the lower fitted section removable for restocking. The sign is in reverse painted layered glass which is an gives off an eye catching brilliant green glow once lit up,  attractive black & white when the light is turned off.
A wonderful piece of advertising & a very rare survivor.
Early 20th Century
Wear commensurate with age, showing numerous signs of its past in the retail industry but good overall. The upholstery inside is showing its age in places with an area of damage bottom right hand corner.
