An exquisite Victorian pine notch carved bookcase / display cabinet.
A beautiful, exceptionally original & very unusual piece of furniture in the original painted finish, intricately layered with notch carved pine strips displaying an outstanding variation of technique. The twin doors, with their original glass handles, open to reveal a shelved interior retaining its original paper lining & the doors are fitted with their original 'wavy' glass.
A truly remarkable piece of furniture in every way.

Wear commensurate with age, very good overall with associated minor chipping & wear to the notch carving which do nothing to detract, totally unrestored. Like all good antique cabinets, this one comes with a lock & key & like all good antique cabinets, neither appear to work! Can be used flat to the floor or raised on a dresser style base.
