A remarkable & extremely rare antique cobalt blue glass plafonnier.
A simple yet very beautiful piece, the heavy fluted glass shade supported by its original cast brass gallery finished with some wonderful, subtle hand finished detailing & boasting a good untouched patina. Rather special in every way!
The light comes ready to hang with hanging chains & a ceiling mount (ceiling mount likely later than the light). It can be used with existing light fittings or supplied along with an earthed brass bulb holder & length twisted flex in black or cream (on request).
English, early 20th century.
Wear commensurate with age, excellent overall. Measurements above refer to the shade & gallery together but do not include the chains (the glass alone is 25.5cm or 10" across).
