A wonderful & very unusual pair of tall Victorian shop hat display stands.
With heavy ornate cast iron bases in original paint, ebonized wooden fittings & small tops finished in their original red velour upholstery. Marked underneath for Wixley of London.

Untouched original condition, showing their age a little which is part of their charm. One stand has a little loss to the pile of the velour & a few old woodworm holes to the lower wooden mount which have been treated as a precaution. Both are solid, usable & display beautifully.
