A beautiful, rare early vintage 'three step' Anglepoise lamp by Herbert Terry & Sons.
A stunning & exceptionally original survivor featuring the legendary three-tier cast iron base & comes in what is probably the most sought after pale green & black colourway. With many of these earlier lamps having been stripped, repainted & fully restored, it is always nice to come across one in this original condition with everything, right down to the Bakelite plug & Crabtree bulb holder original to the lamp.
This model was where it all began for the iconic Herbert Terry 1227 lamp, production started in around 1938 & the three step base, slimmer profile, perforated shade, heavy steel arms & three-piece lower 'fork' set this sought after lamp apart from later models.
Rewired in twisted black flex.
