A wonderfully detailed & informative boat builders model of the Twin Screw Steamer 'Audrey', built for the Crown Agents To The Colonies to a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot by the iconic J S White & Co Ltd of East Cowes.
J S Whites has a rich history dating back to the late 17th century & rose to prominance during the Victorian Era. They were manufactureres to both the Royal Navy & also export customers & specialised in torpedo boats, paddle steamers, stationary engines & yachts.
A fantastic piece of history & not something which turns up very often!
Late 19th / Early 20th century
Wear commensurate with age, good solid condition, unrestored with expected wear to the finish in places.
