A wonderful original painted wooden Billiards & Snooker Club Rules sign.
A beautiful hand painted & framed sign featuring some superb workmanship & outstanding traditional sign writing. The shadowed lettering has been applied in three colours & the meticulous attention to detail is consistent throughout. The sign itself is on thin pine & the frame in mahogany, both have a wonderful, rich depth of colour & a pleasing age related patina. The sign is signed 'R Lambourne, October 1927' & the rules, game pricing & time limits is followed with a charming 'No Player Is Allowed Upon the Table'.

Wear commensurate with age, very good unrestored condion, diasplays beautifully with the colours richer than pictured.
Some expected scuffing to the bottom left hand corner & a hairline crack & light chip to the centre, nothing which detracts & otherwise excellent.
