A beautiful pair of early antique taxidermy roe deer heads.
A handsome pair, extremely well executed with turned heads & glass eyes, mounted on solid oak shields bearing brass plaques dated 1909 & 1921 respectively.
Perfect for symmetrical decorative ideas, very unusual to come across a matching pair like this!

Wear commensurate with age, very good original condition overall. Minor wear to the stitching on the top reaer of the heads which remains secure & cannot be seen.
One mount is around 62cm x 37cm x 23cm & the other 53cm x 33cm 23cm (difference to antler size otherwise near identical).
