A wonderful Victorian painted pine box. A beautiful piece in original red & gilt paint with a detailed banner to the front panel entitled 'Regin Pipe'. The box is well made with dovetailed joints, the paintwork is exceptionally well done & it makes a great, unusual decorative piece.
Late 19th century, provenance & former use unknown.
Wear commensurate with age, good solid condition, paint all original, one small isolated area of (dead) historic woodworm to the rear of the lip on the lid.
