A fantastic example of a vintage Anglepoise 1227 desk lamp by Herbert Terry & Sons. An iconic design classic featuring the cast iron stepped base, original black paintwork & tulip shade with original 'Crabtree' Bakelite bulb holder. This particular lamp is one of the earlier '2nd generation' lamps produced by Terry & Sons & featuring non-adjustable springs & side exit wiring holes on the arms which distinguish it from later productions of the same model.
Rewired in twisted black flex.
Early 1950's
Wear commensurate with age as pictured with the usual light wear & marking to the paintwork, overall a very good example of an early lamp.
