A fantastic surviving example of an early vintage Hadrill Horstmann 'Pluslite' magnifying lamp. An unmistakable industrial design classic featuring the iconic counterbalance mechanism, black paintwork and articulated magnifying lens which folds into the upper part of the shade when not in use. The large counterweight is suspended in a cast bracket adorned with the 'HH' monogram & the shade retains partial gilt makers transfers inside the lid of the shade. Wonderfully over-engineered, a simply stunning lamp.
Rewired in twisted black flex.
