A beautiful large Victorian glass display dome. A stunning hand blown antique glass dome on its original turned, ebonized wooden base, The large oval dome is a great size & shape and unusually tapers towards the base. Perfect for displaying taxidermy specimens & other curios, the dome retains its original paper trim around the rim & the base is raised on small bun feet.
Late 19th century.
Wear commensurate with age, glass domes in good condition with no damage, age related wear to the paint on the base.
The above dimensions refer to overall exterior measurement of the dome on its base. The inside area of the dome alone is around 57cm x 30cm x 17cm.
Due to its fragile nature & larger size, I'd prefer this was collected in person.
