An original & very decorative, early vintage advertising bust. A striking & unusual piece of countertop advertising with bags of character & a fantastic look about it. In a painted composite / paper mache & plaster type material, the head would have sat upon a shop counter & we think it was very likely used to advertise hats or cigarettes. A great bit of fun & a fantastic decorative piece.

Wear commensurate with age, favourably worn & displays well with an indented area to the lower right hand side of the plinth & a crack to the corresponding (rear) corner which do nothing to detract.
