A beautiful original antique 'Gentlemen' railway sign in timber & cast iron. A stunning antique sign, double sided & in all original paint, the sign comes in its original frame supported by some wonderful ironwork. Formerly used by The North Eastern Railway Co (1854 -1923) & featuring some beautiful early sign writing & workmanship. An exceptionally original example with the perfect patina, the best one of these old timber signs I've seen to date.
Late 19th / early 20th century.
Wear commensurate with age, in exceptional condition & displays beautifully.
Measurements above are overall dimensions including the bracket, the sign alone is around 73cm x 29cm x 5cm.
