A beautiful pair of antique carved oak armorial lions. A wonderful & rare pair, hand carved in solid oak of the highest quality with a beautiful grain & depth of colour. The rampant lions grasping the amorial shields stand on a capital base, boast some fantastic detail to their faces, manes & paws & are finished with a scrolled upper section. Simply stunning.
Late 19th / early 20th century.

Wear commensurate with age, very good untouched condition with a couple of very small chips to the corners of one piece. The lions are 'reclaimed' interior architectutal elements & as such the tops & bases retain part of the original dowls, are not polished & have a few marks etc as pictured.
