An original vintage 'Platform 2' enamel railway station sign formerly used by The Southern Railways Company. A fantastic piece of railway memorabilia in a wonderful & unmistakable shade of green unique to Southern Railways (1923 - 1948).
Southern Railways were the smallest of the Big Four British railway companies of the early 20th century & unlike the other companies, relied on passenger traffic as opposed to freight for revenue.
This sign represents a wonderful piece of their history & makes a fantastic decorative piece.
