An early vintage wooden aeroplane propeller by Sensenich Brothers. A fantastic piece by one of the most iconic American avaition propeller manufacturers of the 20th century. In solid laminated hardwood with studded metalwork to either blade, the propeller has a great patina & retains its original makers transfer. These were often cut down & kept as souvenirs once the propeller was out of service in order to make a far more managable display piece. A great decorative piece for a retail or home environment.
During the 1940's Sensenich were recognised as the largest supplier of propellers in the world & are still going strong today.
1930's / 40's
Wear commensurate with age, unrestored. Historically cut down with some light splitting between the laminated wooden strips near the ends as pictured which does not detract.
