A wonderful early vintage cast iron 'Stick No Bills' sign. An exceptionally rare surviving example in thick cast iron featuring a raised border & lettering in original black & white paintwork. The 'Stick No Bills' signs served as an official a warning to would be advertisers against sticking posters on walls & were used on railway & roadside locations up & down the country during the last century. Beautifully simple yet highly decvorative.
Early to mid 20th century, likley 1930's.
Wear commensurate with age, excellent condition. Unrestored.
