A beautiful early vintage railway signal box block instrument. In solid hardwood with a painted tin dial & brass detailing. Would have been mounted inside a railway signal box & operated via electrical impulses to receive information regarding congestion on the line. A wonderful piece of railway memorabilia & a fantastic display piece.
Early 20th century.
Wear commensurate with age, very good overall condition. Unrestored. Bolt fastening the the case would originally have had a small block of wood underneath which is no longer present (see last image), this does not effect the piece in the slightest & the bolt fastens securely regardless.
