Sleek, sophisticated and beautifully simple... An original vintage Herman Miller leather armchair by Charles & Ray Eames. The sleek chairs of the Eames 'Aluminium Group' have been an hugely popular design since their introduction in 1958. This particular 'high back' example dates to the 1970's & features the iconic cast aluminium framework & black leather upholstery on a low swivel base. A fantastic, extremely comfortable & iconic chair!
Wear commensurate with age, unrestored though good overall with some expected minor wear to the leather & aluminium & some discolouration to the plastic feet. The chairs were sold with & without arms which are still sold separately today, this example has three pre drilled holes either side which would allow the arms to be added though personally I prefer the chair as is.
