Large Dugdills Lamp

A large early Dugdills industrial 'Cog' lamp.
With its original white enamel shade, large brass 'cog' tension wheels at the joints & in the original factory finish.
A beautifully over-engineered lamp which was the flagship of the Dugdills Industrial range during the 1920's & 30's with this particular lamp their largest offering.
Good examples of this lamp are becoming incresingly hard to come by, particularly with all-brass tension wheels (they fitted a mixture of alloy and brass wheels to most lamps) and in this exceptionally original condition. A real gem.
Rewired in twisted black flex.

Wear commensurate with age showing the usual signs of it's industrial past, delightfully untouched with a good patina. The height measurement above refers to the lamps height as per the main image & is not a 'flat out' measurement.
