A wonderful cobblers advertising figure for Phillips Heels.
A fantastic seldom found piece of advertising in unusually good condition, the cobbler with a wonderful facial expression & the sole of the shoe retaining its two original Phillips branded rubber heels. The piece is made in rubberoid & underside of the figure is marked for 'Beritex' who were responsible for making some of the finest advertising figures of the early 20th century. A charming decorative piece, busting with character!
1920's / 30's
Wear commensurate with age, excellent overall. By far the best example of this figure I've seen to date & something which is now turning up on the market far less frequently.
