An early leather fencing mask & Plastron.
A wonderful & rare survivor, particularly with the buttoned chamois leather plastron with red heart detail. The mask is in leather & wire mesh. With good wear & the plastron is horse hair filled & retains all its original leather straps. A beautiful pair, always been together so price is for both items.

Wear commensurate with age & use, good overall, totally unrestored, mask has a bit of historic stitching to the back wires & the straps on the plastron are a little warped in places.
