A remarkable Victorian taxidermy pug.
A well executed, unusual & typically Victorian piece, the small Pug mounted on a raised pine base which retains it's original Velvet covering with a gold trim. Pieces of this age, style & quality are now extremely hard to find.
Late 19th century.
Wear commensurate with age, good condition overall, totally unrestored, the two rear metal feet of the base appear to be historic replacements. Measurements are overall & include the base.
