A wonderful pair of reclaimed antique beach groyns.
A beautiful pair of 19th century groyns of exceptional form, formerly of Camber Sands, East Sussex. 
Wonderfully sculptural, the naturally weathered oak posts are surrounded with rivited iron strapwork & topped with spiked finials. The naturally weathered & erroded surfaces boast some stunning textures & colours and make these beautiful & unique decorative pieces.
Groyns run perpendicular to the shore along a beach & have been used to protect our beaches from being 'washed away' by reducing the movement of sediment for over a century. This pair were were salvaged from Camber Sands when they were replaced with modern alternatives.

Wear commensurate with age, good solid, untouched condition with their numerous signs of age contributing to what they are today. Unrestored.
