1874 Railway Poster

A large & early original Midland Railway advertising poster.
A charming & rare survivor in a wonderful colourway & utilizing a beautiful early font, block printed on thin paper & adverting holiday trips to London from the North. In fitting (recent) glazed hardwood frame, the whole piece has taken on a fantastic patina over the years & makes a super interior decorators piece.
Dated 1874
Wear commensurate with age, the frame is recent & a good fit, the poster does have some old wear & tear here & there as highlighted in the images but this only dds to it's appeal.
