143 Pharmaceutical Specimen Vials

A fantastic collection of one hundred and forty three pharmaceutical training specimen vials.
An amazing vintage pharmaceutical training set comprising herbs, powders, syrups, extracts, dead bugs & illegal drugs (now removed, see below)! Twelve trays packed with glass vials containing a huge array of natural elements used in the world of pharmaceutical preparation which were once used to train budding pharmacists. The contents of the cork topped vials boast a multitude of colours & textures & the set comes with a paper guide which identifies the contents using a numbering system. To detail the contents of all these would simply be too time consuming but it really does have to be seen to be fully appreciated.
One of the most interesting items we've had here at Room 8 Interiors & a wonderful, ready-made collection for any glazed curiosity or medical cabinet!

Wear commensurate with age & use, condition of specimens varies, 7 vials of the original 250 are missing & one has leaked & is currently stuck to its box. The boxes are in poor condition, though it would be a real shame to keep something like this boxed anyway! 
The vials measure between 9cm & 17cm in height.
NOTE: In the interest of not-going-to-prison, we have had to go through the set & dispose of the contents of three vials which originally contained cocaine, opium & cannabis... so these will be supplied empty.
