Pair of Louis Kalff Table Lamps

A pair of 'Timor' table / desk lamps by Louis Kalff for Phillips.
Excellent examples of an iconic design classic, both in the original factory finish which contrasts beautifully with the chrome uprights.
Designed by Dutch architect & designer Loius Kalff (1897 - 1976) who joined forces with Phillips in the 1920's & was tasked with modernising the companies image.
It isn't often we have a pair in, particularly in this condition.
1950's
Wired in twisted flex.
Wear commensurate with age, very good overall showing a few minor signs of age, very slight tone differnce to the original paint & one silver switch surround, one white. Otherwise identical. The lamps takes regular screw fit bulbs & work best aesthetically with a chrome topped variety as pictured (not included).
