Louis Kalff for Philips

A table or desk lamp by Louis Kalff for Philips.
A good, original example of an iconic design, in the original dove-grey factory finish which contrasts beautifully with the oblique chrome upright.
Designed by the legendary architect & designer Loius Kalff (1897 - 1976) who joined forces with Phillips in the 1920's & was tasked with modernising the companies image.
1950's
Wired in twisted flex.
Wear commensurate with age, totally untouched cosmetically showing the usual signs of age, very good overall. The lamp takes regular screw fit bulbs & is at its aesthetic best when fitted with a chrome topped variety as pictured (not included).
