A wonderful Georgian copper wall lantern.
A delightfully original survivor in beautifully patinated copper throughout, glazed to the front & sides & topped with a vented chimney. Raised on four small lead ball feet with a hinged door to the front & four wall mounting brackets, the copper surface has mercifully remained unpolished & developed a superb depth of colour & patina. A great example.
Wear commensurate with age, very good overall, unrestored, side panels have at some point been reglazed using putty in the corners, a little naive but fuctional & doesn't detract in the slightest. Not currently wired for electric.
All electrical items should be checked and / or installed by a qualified electrician prior to use.
Collection in person preferred due to the fragile nature of the glass though a UK courier service may be possible, please enquire for details.
