An early banker's lamp by GEC.
A wonderful banker's lamp of the highest quality, the heavy base supporing an adjustable articulated arm on a highly unusual sprung mechanism supporting large shade. With great colour & colour & patina., a handsome, timeless lamp of excellent form.
Rewired in twisted flex.
English, 1920's / 30's
Wear commensureate with age as pictured, good overall, a little bit of verdigris to one side of the base which amounts to nothing more than character.
We recommend the lamp be used with a modern low-heat bulb (bayonet cap, not supplied).
