A table / desk lamp by Faraday & Son.
A beautiful example by a top tier maker, typical of the Arts and Crafts movement, timeless, delightfully simple & wonderful quality. The heavy base supports a square upright & beautifully cast rise & fall arm with integrated Faraday switch and porcelain enamel shade, stamped F & S for Faraday & Son.
1890 - 1910
Wear commensurate with age, very good overall, rise & fall mecanism a little stiff but does move & hold position securely.
Working order though NOT rewired by us, the lamp came in with the surrent twisted flex in place.
