An early Bauhaus table lamp by Christian Dell for Kaiser Idell.
A super clean Bauhaus design classic with a spun steel shade, adjustable chrome ball jointed arm & a cast iron base.
From 1922 to 1925, Christian Dell worked in the metal workshop in the Bauhaus in Weimar where he was head of a pioneering & innovative form of design. In 1926, he began designing lamps which, when manufactured, used an exquisite choice of materials & precision engineering throughout.
c1930
Wired in black flex.
Wear commensurate with age, good overall, all paintwork original, one historic light knock to the shade which doesn't detract.
All electrical items should be checked and / or installed by a qualified electrician prior to use (this lamp was purchased with the current wiring in place but is clearly a modern rewire & it is in full working order).
UK courier service available at £18 tracked & signed for 24 hour delivery.
