'Mushroom' Table Lamp by Egon Hillebrand

An original vintage 'Mushroom' table lamp by Egon Hillebrand.
A wonderfully simple table lamp of excellent form, the sleek chrome base supporting a large spun steel shade topped with its original Plexiglass diffuser. A beautiful piece of mid century design which would fit in anywhere.
1960's / 70's
Wear commensurate with age, very good overall, cosmetically unrestored with some age related marking to the shade & diffuser, all highlighted & amounting to nothing more than patina.
The lamp accepts three screw cap bulbs which give off a good evenly distributed amount of light, we strongly recommend using lower wattage bulbs so as not to damage the Plexiglass above with heat (these lamps look great with an Edison style filament bulb which comes in various sizes & gives off very little in the way of heat).
All electrical items should be checked and / or installed by a qualified electrician prior to use.
