Shop Advertising Cabinet ~ By Appointment

A glazed display cabinet for Palmer Bros Biscuits.
An early & a rare advertising cabinet or 'show case' as they were then known, topped with a solid mahogany pediment with original, 'By Appointment' Royal Warrant crest.
In the original finish, the lower edge with carved Palmer Bros logo & the single rear door opening to reveal two glass shelves on their original brass brackets.
A handsome, rare & very decoartive cabinet, perfect for the kitchen.
Early 20th century
Wear commensurate with age, good overall but as with most old shop fittings, it has had a life, the cabinet itself is in good order though both glass shelves are chipped (could easily be replaced at low cost) & there is some historic damage to the rear just below the pedimemnt (can't be seen from the front at all)
