A good example of a wicker military trunk / hamper.
An interesting & attractive example, exceptionally original throughout, the woven wicker hamper with leather banding, thick rope-work handles & the (almost always absent) original green canvass covering to the lid. The front retins it's original heavy-duty iron latch & hasps & the inside of the trunk retaining it's original lining.
WW2 period & highly likely manufactured by Scott & Sons of London.
Wear commensurate with age, completely untouched original condition, inside could do with a wipe, structurally sound, latch & haps rather stiff but functional & would benefit from some lubrication if it is to be opened & closed regularly.
