A beautiful & very unusual Syrian end table.
A super example, profusely caved in the traditional manner, raised on a tripod base finished with mother of pearl inlay & Mashrabiya panelling. With a hexagonal top, again profusely carved & inlaid and finished with a decorative freize.
A wonderful, early piece of Eastern furniture in a very unusual smaller size, delightfully untouched.
Late 19th / early 20th century
Wear commensurate with age with the usual minor losses to the mother of pearl inlay & what appear to be a couple of minor historic repairs, neither of which detract & it displays beautifully.
