A large antique pine baker's rack.
A beautiful piece of industrial design, the carcass raised on large cast iron castors & supporting twelve sets of iron runners holding rough timber trays, all with a wonderful age related patina. The rack itself & most of the trays boast some wonderful ironwork & the top is finished with its original brass manufacturer's plaque for T Errington & Sons, Bakers & Confectioners Engineers of Portsmouth. A cracking piece of storage for the kitchen, the like of which is becoming extremely hard to find.
Early 20th Century
Wear commensurate with age, good solid condition overall showing numerous pleasing signs of its industrial past. Rack in very good order, trays showing signs of old repair, light damage & some woodworm which has been professionally treated as a precaution.
