A pair of 'Falcon' chairs by Sigurd Ressell.
A phenomenal pair of these iconic mid century lounge chairs, the chromed steel frames supporting canvas sling seats & buttoned cushions in the most wonderful original leather with the perfect amount of wear. Designed for Vatne Mobler in the early 1970's, excellent examples of a timeless & stylish design classic, I felt very fortunate to find a pair that had remained together all this time!
1970's
Wear commensurate with age, good overall showing the usual signs of age. The leather is absolutely beautiful, supple with perfect aging, one armrest has a small historic repair, otherwise very good. The chrome has expected scuffing & wear but presents very well, one chair has matt sling brackets as opposed to chrome so possibly replaced & the canvas sling to the rear of one chair has two old repairs. Nothing detracts, these are superb chairs!
