A wonderful oak leather barrel back chair.
A beautiful & well loved chair of good, unusual form with a solid oak frame supporting a seat & back-rest in the original leather upholstery. With a swivel seat, good colour throughout & particularly nice detail to the brass studs themselves.
19th century & probably continental
Wear commensurate with age, totally unrestored condition as pictured showing numerous signs of age. The leather upholstery is original & showing its age in places, the back rest is largely in good order, the seat has a few very minor holes & one old repair to a split front left. It could perhaps do with a top up of horse hair around the springs if it's to be used frequently as it's a little lumpy but personally I like it just the way it is.
