A gilt brass coffee table in the manner of Alain Chervert.
An iconic & imposing piece of mid century design, the base made up of two stylised gilt brass Ibex heads with scrolling horns supporting a large clear glass top.
A beautiful piece of design which rarely comes up for sale... statement pieces don't make much more than a statement than this!
1970's
Wear commensurate with age, good overall showing a the usual signs of age. Ibex heads have some expected surface scratching & wear to the lacquer & the top, which we think is probably original, has a nibble to one edge, barely visible when on the underside & shown in the last image.
It's worth noting that if the specifications of the top do not fit your requirements, these are readily available in any size at a relatively low cost from almost all glass retailers.
UK courier service possible, please enquire for details.
